It was noted that the issue of transfer of Military Flags of military unions that are being discontinued remains unsettled.

The bill (Reg. No. 2284a) suggests amend Appendix 2 of the of the Internal Service Statute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under which “old military flags of military unions with distinctions, certificates and historical notes can be placed in escrow in the Museum of Military Glory or local museums and museums of state educational institutions for open exposition only through the National Military and Historic Museum of Ukraine, while Military Flags of military unions that were used during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 – through the Memorial complex “The National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”.

Committee members unanimously upheld the bill, adoption of which will help preserve Military Flags of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and activate military-patriotic and cultural education of Ukrainian citizens.
